Yunneng Wind Power Co., Ltd (YWPC) is committed to create and maintain an incident-free workplace, where all personnel can expect to work in a safe environment and return home safely. YWPC is supporting global decarbonisation by accelerating the development of offshore wind energy and aiming at universal access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy services by increasing the share of renewable energy in the energy mix. YWPC wants to create sustainable value for its investors, partners, and the communities where it operates. This policy applies to all locations where YWPC operates.
Guiding Principles
YWPC will deliver on its Health, Safety and Environment commitment by:

Ensuring that responsibilities are clearly set out and understood and that there is a HSE system designed to comply with the law and achieves continuous improvement.

Empowering personnel to take care of their own safety and that of others. Knowing that they have the possibility to 'Stop the Job' when they feel unsure, unsafe, or when safety becomes or can become compromised. Substance abuse and harmful use of alcohol is recognised as a potential source of accident on the project. There are practices in place to take steps to address the issue if and when they arise.

Taking a proactive approach towards our Environmental and Social Governance responsibilities (ESG) thus mitigating our impact on our planet's environment and responding to climate change. In this regard, the project will work towards recycling and reuse where possible and feasible.

Playing a proactive role in engaging and communicating with our stakeholders to manage, mitigate and prevent foreseeable Health, Safety and Environmental risks in connection with our activities and by maintaining management control within the organisation.

Achieve environmentally sound management of chemicals and all wastes throughout their life cycle.

Working towards reducing their release to air, water, and soil in order to minimize their adverse impacts on human health and the environment.

Conserve and sustainably use the waters we operate in to ensure long term sustainable development for the future.

Providing appropriate information, instruction, and training to increase awareness and competence of our employees.

Ensuring effective communications and response capabilities for incidents and emergencies. While investigating all incidents to identify the root cause, ensuring continuous improvement, and taking appropriate action to prevent reoccurrence.

Collaborating closely with employees, stakeholders and interested parties, to ensure we build a strong Safety Culture. Thereby promoting and improvement opportunities that will provide efficient solutions to the renewable energy sector.

Ensuring our employees, contractors and suppliers comply with applicable international and national laws and regulations in Taiwan and in other countries that the project operates in.
Governance

YWPC has a dedicated Project Management Team led by the Project Director, which oversees all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters.

The Project Management Team will set forth objectives and ensure that adequate resources are provided to implement, maintain, and review this policy.

All managers are responsible for the implementation and compliance with the Environment, Safety and Health management system. Simultaneously the managers are also responsible for ensuring that all employees are taken care of and that contractors and staff alike, are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
